Great Grandfather 'Lolo Ray' passes away at 92

We are saddened to report that Jaylon's great grandfather Raymundo Manangan Ortaliza (Lolo Ray) passed away at 2:20pm today at the age of 92 at Sharp Hospital in Chula Vista following a brief illness. Lolo Ray was surrounded by his family. He is survived by his sister, 4 daughters, 4 sons, 25 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Lolo Ray will be missed dearly. May he rest in peace. We love you Lolo Ray.

  1. Jay, having Lolo Ray for a Dad was such a great pleasure. We will always remember him because there will never be another Lolo Ray to replace him in our hearts. One of his favorite songs, "You Are Always In My Heart" typifies his kindness and love for his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Just like you, in his entire life, he needed Faith & Courage to survive. He lived life to the fullest. Although he would not be here physically to see you realize your dream as a professional baseball player, he will be looking down with pride and smile on his face giving you encouragement in the form of spiritual cheers as a spectator in heaven.
